завтра у голландских школьников начинается учебный год (включая и нас, о ужас, детство-то кончилось...)

уже неделю на всех дорогах развешана разнообразная пропаганда, призывающая водителей ездить медленнее.

в голове автоматически начинает звучать фраза "чуть помедленнее", характерным хрипловатым голосом...

they (dutchmen) do spell "school" the same way you do :)

dutch is quite close to english by a vocabulary; the grammar is quite different although there are many similarities too); and pronunciation is VERY different.

this word actually sounds as "skol".
