The Giant of Apennines in Holland
Oct. 20th, 2005 10:15 pm
"In the 16th century artist and sculptor Giambologna needed 11 years to cut a sculpture from the boulders in the Medici gardens near Florence – a giant holding the head of a water-spouting monster under the ground using one hand. The version standing in the Mondo Verde park – 14m high – was created by two Americans over seven month period. The ingredients included an iron frame, 470,000 kg of concrete, and a great deal of courage and imagination."
Это текст с некой сопроводительной таблички, которая там стояла. Я пока ничего не проверял про этого Giambologna, за что купил, про то и запостил.

Date: 2005-10-20 08:46 pm (UTC)you may also consider looking at my English-language journal,
they are not identical, the latter is more 'professional' (also meaning 'boring') but at least you will not need an online translator for every posting :)
