that's so beautiful, in a different kind of way.

i have a friend in germany who does roofs - i should ask him if the variations in color are done on purpose, if they changed colors differently over time, or are different materials, maybe put in during different repairs.

in any event, gorgeous. and i like the flow :)

thank you, and yes, please! i'd love to know more about these ways of tile-laying... the picture is made in north belgium, but we've seen similar patterns in other parts of europe too (inlcuding west germany), and everywhere of slightly different color palette. if he can comment, as a professional, of point to the relevant sources, this would be really great!
