My Second Marxist Indoctrination - статья некто татьяны менакер о тотальной левизне профессуры университета сан-франциско (San Francisco State University). в комментах подвтерждают, что всё это "слишком похоже на правду".

неужели это так? у меня довольно часто бывают "дежавю" при сравнении некой крупной корпрации и какой-нибудь городской парторганизации. но мне казалось, что это из-за общей тенденции всего крупного к бюракратическим практикам. здесь же прямо говорится о "любви к идеям социализма".

heh... that was EXACTLY my high school education - in san francisco. i always say i went to the only PUBLIC (free, paid for by the us government) Communist high school in america.

no matter what subject the teachers were supposedly teaching, history, literature, civics, science, geography or art, they ranted and raved about the socialist paradise, how great everything was in the soviet union or china, how america was an imperialist running dog, etc... and that we were all a bunch of spoiled, ignorant brats. they also let us out of class to take us over to join in protests against various companies and organizations.

i mean, you must have a piece of admiration with the ussr and all that, and you have to have some kind of hate toward the same... but the trick is to have this simultaneously, preferably shacked-up...

in a school, i guess, the best is to have different professors, from different camp. when it is too one-sided, it is not just incorrect, it is simply boring : (

well, those insane (and they were certifiably insane) teachers taught me 3 things: to hate new age people (because they were all new age), to hate extremists of any politics, and to hate the rich, because, in fact, they were all wealthy "trust fund babies" (my husband calls that type, "sons"). one of those teachers was always ranting, "bomb the rich! bomb the rich, let's kill them all!!!" he also insulted my best friend cindy for being blonde and beautiful, pointing to her and saying, "and this is what the american media shoves in our faces as the ideal of beauty!"

so, one day, as he started up again with "let's bomb the rich!", cindy, who had found out he lives in one of the richest cities in america (safely across the bay from san francisco), said, "OK, Covey (his name), let's start with you... tell us your address!"
