You're beginning to ask me about the author's intention while the author is practically presentt (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=centralasian). :)
But, although it could have lots of different meanings, from happy foolishness to deep seriousness, I think that in this case, it was just simple word-playing. :)
in principle, tropillor was right - "блоготомированный" refers to both "blog" and "lobotomy"... obvious pointing to the fact that someone can be easily “lobotomized" by excessive blogging.
however, as it is often happen in lj, this was in fact a kind of replica in one (or may be many) continuous dialogues with other ljusers… most of them are happening in your head only…
for example, despite i read those massive word-play thread on blogs (“blog me up”) in the i_shmael diary, this was not a direct comment on that... rather, if i remember correctly, i posted this morning a post on a "decapitation attack", and i then obviously thought how "decapitated" gwb is, and then it was telo who immediately reacted "yeh, yeh, surgical attacks" on this post... and then my mind went to the "surgery", and - vuala, blogotomy.
ps: by the way, yet another nuance... "lobotomy" has an additional connotation for any russian speaker... "lob" means a "forehead" in russian... therefore, many russians tend to think the operation always includes breaking/cutting the skull somehow... it was a surprise for a friend of mine who learnt that lobotomy can be done via eyes...
Oh, yeah!!! I forgot about the decapitation post...makes sense now! Thanks for taking the time to explain this to me. I love learning new words...doesn't matter what language! ;)
