A fire broke out Tuesday evening at the Moscow State Conservatory, sending flames and smoke through a vital cultural institution that has trained many of Russia's finest musicians and hosted performances by internationally acclaimed artists.

All the people in the 19th-century building were evacuated and no injuries were reported.

Fires are never a good thing. Theres a building here in my city that looks just like that. by the way how do post images in live journal? I hope you dont have to have a paid account.

these buildings are of 19th century, and the styly is quite common for this age... obvioulsy, this particular one had a very special menaing for many moscovites ...
