"More than a third of young people in the Netherlands view the foreign policy of United States President George Bush as the greatest threat to world peace, followed by Islamic fundamentalism, according to a poll published by Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.
In a poll of 4,500 respondents, aged between 12 and 30, carried out by research group Qrius, 38 percent - mostly women - named Bush as the biggest threat. Thirty percent - mainly men - put Islamic fundamentalism first.
The survey was held before pictures of US guards torturing Iraqi inmates at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison were made public, De Volkskrant said.
Eleven percent considered the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as the biggest threat while 10 percent named poverty in developing countries."
