A fire broke out Tuesday evening at the Moscow State Conservatory, sending flames and smoke through a vital cultural institution that has trained many of Russia's finest musicians and hosted performances by internationally acclaimed artists.
All the people in the 19th-century building were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
