(впопыхах забыл написать, что фото-то не моё; и не знаю чьё, стырил его уже из чьей-то презентации :(

Once Nan-in, a Japanese master of the Meiji era, received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.

Nan-in served tea to the guest. He poured his cup full, and then kept on pouring.

The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself.
"It is overfull! No more will go in!"

"Like this cup," Nan-in said, "you are full of your own opinions and speculations.
How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

My.

I have not the right words to express my admiration. This photo is brilliant. The texture, the composition... oof.

Fully sharing your admiration with the picture, I immideately add that it's not mine; I even don't know who's the author since I took it from somebody's powerpoint slides, untributed :((

I addedd these explanations to the entry already, to avoid further confusion.

Btw, thank you for the link to Visual DNA; similar to you, I am not a big fan of various surveys but this one is quite cool. I will post my visual dna later this evening :))

Ah, I must have missed the disclaimer because it's not in English. Nonetheless, thank you for sharing this beautiful image and the Zen wisdom. How perfect for a Friday!

I look forward to reading your visual DNA. :)
