"As the death toll mounts in the areas hit by Sunday's tsunami in southern Asia, private organizations and individuals are scrambling to send out money and goods to help the victims. Such help may be entirely proper, especially considering that most of those affected by this tragedy are suffering through no fault of their own.

"The United States government, however, should not give any money to help the tsunami victims. Why?" - такой вот предновогодний вопросик задаёт некий David Holcberg, research associate at the Ayn Rand Institute in California.

i think, he's a moron (you don't read russian, otherwise you'd sense my opinon on the quote from the two-word comment.)

the problem is that i have to now ask YOU (as well as many friends of mine from the us) 'do you agree with him?'. i mean, i don't mean you personally here, i read your latest posts, and auctions, etc (and even without these latest posts i know you well enough to guess your reaction.)

but still, however...

some people's thoughts makes me freezed :(

btw, i consider bidding for the painting.

i have run into a couple of people in the last few days who do agree with him. i agree, they are morons. as i said to them, the US government is elected and financed by the US people, and most of us are not cheap fucks who don't want to give a penny of their hard earned dollars to help people in need. most of us want the government to spend more, not less, on humanitarian aid. it is interesting that most of these same people don't mind giving billions to destroy a country and kill its inhabitants. these people are not americans, in my opinion.

it would be wonderful if you bid :)
