I was wondering if it is ok to ask you for specs once in a while --not too often, I promise. I enjoy taking my reflex for a spin every now and then, but I am afraid that my technique is so poor that I scarcely obtain the exact image I mean to. For instance, in this one, what would be the set-up? where --and how-- would the light source be? f number?...
if it is ok to ask you for specs once in a while - please do; i am not sure that i will be always able to answer, sometimes i just point-and-shoot, no special thinking on the settings; but i’ll try.
in this case, i was attracted by a very colorful sport - it was in fact a glass plate with a children's picture on it, made by transparent paints. the plate was in turn standing at the window glass - inside the room. and i came to the window from outside.
the trees were therefore reflected by both glass window and those small plate; i made the focus on infinity, so the foreground colors got blurry.
it was quite dark, so i put a minimal decent speed (1/20) and let the camera calculate the aperture (2.8 it was finally).
you could also find interesting to look at aman_geld, my photo-diary. it was a bit abandoned recently though. usually it's 'a pic a day' rule... but sometimes i have to do something somewhere else :)
specs?
