Reading is a fundamental skill, and one way to encourage good habits in children is to develop good listening skills. Through a partnership with Chicago-based telecommunications company TDS Metrocom, the Warren-Newport Public Library has acquired two story phones for its children's areas that will allow listening to a variety of recorded short stories such as "The Princess and the Pea" and "Sleeping Beauty."
