Russian children, who live in a special orphanage for HIV/AIDS infectected children look into the camera in St.Petersburg.

At least half million Russians will die of AIDS by 2010 given current infection rates and the authorities' failure to curb the epidemic, said Vadim Pokrovsky, the head of Russia's official AIDS centre.
