в Bündner Kunstmuseum в швейцарском городке Chur проводится выставка альпийских фотографий Albert-а Steiner-а (ссылка с фото ведёт на сайт музея).  я сам туда не смог попасть, да и вы вряд ли успеете (выставка до 18-го сентября), но вдруг. судя по всему, интересные работы, хотя собственно горных фотографий не так много, по-крайней мере, в буклете.

буклет утверждает, что

"Albert Steiner belongs to the most important Swiss photographers of the 20ieth century. His photos of the Engadin landscape are unique even in international comparison. They have greatly contributed to the way Switzerland as an alpine landscape of Arcadian beauty is perceived. Inspired by painters such as Giovanni Segantini and Ferdinand Hodler, Steiner created pictures, which also express a profound religious worship of nature. Albert Steiner hardly ever received the appreciation he deserves.

Jointly with the Swiss Foundation for Photography, the Bündner Kunstmuseum has attempted to breach this gap in Swiss photo history by putting on an exhibition and issuing a publication. For the first time the exhibit shows a large selection of the most important works from private and public collections".

The Dutch government plans to open an electronic file on every child at birth as a tool to spot and protect the troubled kids of the future, AP reported on Sep 15, 2005. Beginning Jan. 1, 2007, all citizens will be tracked from cradle to grave in a single database - including health, education, family and police records - the health ministry said.

As a privacy safeguard, no single person or agency will be able to access all contents of a file. But organizations can raise "red flags" in the dossier to caution other agencies about problems, ministry spokesman Jan Brouwer said.

Every child will get a Citizens Service Number, making it easier to keep track of children with problems even when their families move, said Secretary of Health Clemence Ross.  ( хвост статьи )

Memory Wall - забавная интерактивная инсталляция для Puerta America Hotel, от Jason Bruges Studio. стены (и, по-моему, некоторые предметы) могут менять цвет в зависимости от раскраса находящихся в помещении людей (там даже есть небольшой клип с демонстрацией всей этой хамелео-новости).

Instead of being played out through speakers, the music at Silent Discos is delivered to dancers' ears via their own sets of wireless headphones. Developed in the Netherlands, the concept involves a DJ, numerous sets of wireless headphones and a certain lack of shame, as clubbers dance on a quiet floor."

Как оказывается, всё это проделывается аж с 2002-го года уже, но как-то только вот сейчас всплыло на широкий божий свет. Подкатом - хвост небольшой статьи про ( беззвучные дискотеки )
