кстати, о терминологии - в последнем номере журнала Interactions (это его обложка слева) небезызвестный Don Norman публикует в своей колонке небольшое эссе, манифестно озаглавленное "Words Matter. Talk About People: Not Customers, Not Consumers, Not Users."

как часто водится с манифестами, кроме названия можно ничего больше и не читать, потому что ясно, что будет что-то типа:

If we are designing for people, why not call them that: people, a person, or perhaps humans. But no, we distance ourselves from the people for whom we design by giving them descriptive and somewhat degrading names, such as customer, consumer, or user. Customer – you know, someone who pays the bills. Consumer – one who consumes. User, or even worse, end user – the person who pushes the buttons, clicks the mouse, and keeps getting confused.


статья печатается в 2006. с 2002 года наша группа называется Understanding People, Societies and Cultures, а на визитке у меня прописано People Researcher. lol

 

зы: ещё он там наезжает на последнюю книжку Брюса Стерлинга (Bruce Sterling) Shaping things, частично справедливо, но во многом и нет. потом допишу про это.
